The software can ingest imagery from an unprecedented number of satellite and tactical image sources, providing the means to quickly locate, identify, and analyze ground features. It enables analysts to automatically measure and document geometric properties such as scale, elevation, latitude, and longitude, and perform before-and-after site comparisons or monitor changes over time.

Moreover, with a direct link to the ESRI® geodatabase and Google Earth™, SOCET GXP provides access to the most accurate geospatial data for intelligence analysis. Finished products can be used to establish evacuation routes, locate helicopter landing zones, and plan troop maneuvers. Built-in shortcuts and pushbutton functionality shorten workflows that previously required proficiency with as many as six specialized software packages to complete a single task. SOCET GXP represents a milestone in software development.
